GST In India, it is the biggest tax in which levied on goods as well as services and it will subsume under the GST.

What is GST Invoice?
GST invoice is a document which is supposed to contain all the relevant details of a business transaction and both the parties involved. It must comprise of the product name, description, quantity, details of the supplier and the purchaser, terms of sale, the rate charged, discounts, etc.

Before 1st July 2017, there were many indirect taxes around seventeen in India like

ü  Securities transaction tax
ü  Sales tax
ü  Corporate tax
ü  Value-added tax
ü  Excise duty etc.
But on 1st July 2017, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Introduce this Goods and service tax in Lok Sabha or lower house. One more thing France is the first country to use GST first time in the year 1954 since then many countries using GST like Germany, Italy, and the UK etc. In India, the thought of GST came in 2000 by then Prime Minister of India Lt. Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The  GST Council  meeting, which would have taken up the issue of slashing of tax rates for electric vehicles, was on Thursday rescheduled for Saturday. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the chairman of the Council, was busy with the ongoing Parliament session, officials said. The meeting, which was to be held through a video conferencing, had a single agenda to boost production of electric vehicles (EVs). The agenda included reduction in GST rate from 12 per cent to 5 per cent for electric vehicles and from 18 per cent to 12 per cent for their chargers. It was also to discuss GST exemption on hiring electric buses. All state finance ministers and officials were logged in for 15 minutes for the meeting at 3 pm before being informed of further delay and a possibility of deferment. There was a lot of outrage recently over two different issues. First was a reduction in monthly GST collection in February 2019 and second was an aspersion over economic growth data. Both these aspersions raised the question of the veracity of economic growth and “vikas” claimed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
